王亚光，教授，博士生导师，1965年10月生于江苏省宜兴市，1992年7月复旦大学数学研究所博士毕业，1992年8月至今在上海交大应用数学系工作，1994年12月被聘为副教授，1998年12月被聘为教授，1999年12月被聘为博士生导师。

主讲课程：偏微分方程、泛函分析、复变函数、高等数学等。

主要研究方向：偏微分方程

主要研究兴趣：非线性发展型方程的理论研究，偏微分方程在图象处理、模式识别中的应用

目前主持的科研项目：
　　(1) 国家自然科学基金项目
　　(2) 国家教育部高等学校教学与科研奖励基金项目
　　(3) 国家教育部高等学校骨干教师基金项目
　　(4) 上海市启明星计划项目


在科研领域内主要成就：
　　2000年获国家教育部首届优秀青年教师奖
　　1990年11月—1992年4月在意大利、奥地利做访问学者
　　1995年10月—1996年12月在奥地利Innsbruck大学从事博士后研究，至今已十多次在国际学术会议上或欧洲著名大学作学术报告
　　1998年8月受国际数学会资助出席在德国柏林的国际数学家大会，并作学术报告
　　1998年起担任美国数学评论的评论员
