研究方向主要为俯冲带地震引发的海啸及海啸预警。主要研究工作有:(1)使用海啸波数据反推俯冲带地震震源,比如海啸波反演、背投影(Time Reversal)等;(2)使用地震波、海啸波等多种数据进行快速准确海啸预警,建设海啸预警系统等;(3)海啸波生成、传播的理论分析,如海啸波传播速度受到海水分层等影响的理论解;(4)其它地震海啸相关现象,如海底地震波引起的海底压力信号研究等。
