高中毕业于黄冈中学,保送进入北京师范大学物理系,获学士和硕士学位,1994-1998年在清华大学物理系工作。后出国新加坡,于2003年获得NUS博士学位,并在新加坡淡马锡国家实验室任研究员。2009年回国任华东师范大学物理系教授、博士生导师。科研方面:主持和参与国家自然科学基金重点项目、面上项目、上海市自然科学基金、上海市科委重点项目等,在物理学顶级期刊Phys. Rep.、Phys. Rev. Lett.以及主流期刊New J. Phys.、Phys. Rev. E等发表学术论文80余篇,SCI引用千余次;担任Chaos, Solitons & Fractals的Associate Editor。教学方面:长期主讲本科《光学》课程,主持上海市重点课程建设、上海市在线课程建设、华东师范大学慕课建设等项目。《波动光学》慕课入选国家精品在线开放课程,《光学》入选上海市精品课程。曾获上海市“为人、为师、为学”先进典型、华东师范大学杰出教学贡献奖、宝钢优秀教师奖、华东师范大学优秀教师称号、华东师范大学“能达”教学奖、华东师范大学本科教学年度贡献奖、“爱课程”优秀教师奖、物理与材料科学学院“最受毕业生喜爱的教师”、上海市高等教育教学成果二等奖(排名第二)、教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖二等奖(排名第二)、上海市归侨侨眷先进个人、华东师范大学师德标兵等。现任中国物理学会教学委员会委员、《物理教学》常务副主编。
