男,1977年出生。教授,博士生导师。教育部新世纪优秀人才,四川省杰出青年学术技术带头人,日本学术振兴会博士后研究员(JSPS Fellow)。

课程教学
? 承担本科基础课《医疗器械及设计》、《医疗器械CAD》、《固体物理导论》,
? 承担研究生课程《计算材料学》、《材料表面分析》、《专业外语》等教学。
? 其中《医疗器械及设计》系列课程为生物医学工程专业主干课程,为国内创新,并无可借鉴之大纲和教材,因此配合完成该系列课程实验讲义。并以该课程为基础,于2007年获西南交大第十届“扬华杯”大学生课外学术科技作品竞赛优秀指导老师
? 在培养研究生方面,指导学生十余人,其中博士已毕业2人,硕士已毕业3人。

Prof. Xiong Lu received his bachelor degree in School of Materials Science and Engineering of Chongqing University, Chongqing, China in 1999. He obtained his Master and Ph.D degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Mech Dept, HKUST) in 2001 and 2004, respectively. After one year postdoctoral work in HKUST, he joined in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University of China in 2005, and was appointed as an Associate Professor. He was promoted to Professor in Nov 2011. From Feb 2009- Oct 2009, he was a visiting scholar in Mech Dept, HKUST. From Nov 2009- Oct 2011, he was a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at Hokkaido University.
His research interesting is in the area of micro/nano technology and biomaterial surface engineering. In addition to experimental study, he also conducts theoretical calculation and computer simulation in order to understand fundamentals of biomaterial science. Heretofore he has authored and co-authored more than 60 academic papers and has contributed two book chapters in the field of biomaterials. Some of these papers are highly cited. For example, one paper (Biomaterials, 26, 1097-1108, 2005) was selected in the Hottest Top 25 Articles List by Biomaterials, the leading journal in biomedical material research area, and has already been cited more than 150 times by peers. The total citation of his papers is more than 500 in SCI database.
