Biography

Currently, I am an Associate Professor at Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China. I received my Ph.D at theDepartment of Computer Science,City University of Hong Kong, supervised byDr. Chong-Wah Ngo andProf. Qing Li. I was a Senior Research Associate in the Video Retrieval Group (VIREO), City University of Hong Kong. I was a visiting scholar atSchool of Computer Science,Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA, under advisorAlexander G. Hauptmann between April 2006 and April 2007. I received my B.E. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Yunnan University, China. I was withInstitute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, between January 2001 and July 2002, supervised by Prof. Yu-fang Sun. From 2003 to 2004, I was with the Department of Computer Science of the City University of Hong Kong, as a Research Assistant, under the supervision ofDr. Victor C. S. Lee.

We are pleased to release the near-duplicate web video dataset (CC_WEB_VIDEO), which was appeared in our ACM MM'07 paper. Over 70 universities/institutes worldwide from 16 countries/regions are using this dataset.

ACM ICIMCS 2011was held on August 5-7, at Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China.
