研究方向: 分子磁体；功能配位聚合物
1. 分子磁体的构筑与性能研究：
建立和发展磁分子固体材料的合成与制备新方法，研究和揭示磁分子固体材料的分子/晶体结构。深入了解结构-磁性的关联性，并以此为指导设计合成新型分子磁体。研究思路：（1）遵循逆向而行的原则，设计、合成磁功能分子。运用自组装技术，研制功能有序分子体系(薄膜和晶体)，得到新型磁功能分子材料。（2）在分子水平上研究分子(自旋)之间的相互作用、结构-性能关系以及有序体系的构造规律。
2. 功能配位聚合物的设计、合成及性能研究
设计合成具有类沸石(zeolite-like)微孔结构的金属-有机网格状结构配位聚合物(metal-organic frameworks, MOFs)，在深入了解其结构的基础上，探索这类材料在气体吸附与分离、磁性、荧光、非线性光学、催化等方面的性能。
