杨东升，博士，教授，博士生导师，现任东北大学智能电气科学与技术研究院党支部书记、副院长，入选“教育部新世纪人才支持计划”和“辽宁省百千万人才计划”百人层次。此外，社会兼职方面担任中国机械联合会能源互联设备与技术专委会理事、IEEE PES中国区分会变压器专委会秘书长、辽宁省电机工程学会理事、辽宁省电机工程学会节能与电能替代专委会秘书长、中国自动化学会能源互联网专委会委员、国家自然科学基金与863重大攻关课题评审专家、十余个国内外权威杂志的特约审稿专家。

近几年，出版学术专著4部，在国内外权威杂志发表论文期刊70余篇，申请国家科技发明专利80余项，授权42项，美国专利2项；获得国家科学技术进步二等奖1项（第二获奖人）、辽宁省技术发明一等奖、电子学会科学技术一等奖、教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖、日内瓦国际发明金奖、美国匹兹堡发明金奖、辽宁省自然科学学术成果一等奖等多项荣誉；作为课题负责人主持国家自然科学基金、国家863项目、辽宁省科技攻关项目、国家电网重点项目、东北电力公司重大科技攻关项目等20余项，解决了合作企业遇到的多项关键技术性难题，带来了巨大的社会效益。

研究方向：主要从事基于混沌系统及复杂网络理论的电力系统分析、建模与故障诊断研究，配电潮流、故障诊断理论、智能配用电技术、风力、光伏发电的理论研究和智能配用电嵌入式、微逆变器、控制器及继电保护装置的研发工作。
