RESEARCH INTERESTS
2 Design Under Uncertainty: In this research area, the principles of reliability design and robust design are integrated to produce design methodologies that mitigate effects of uncertainty, thereby increasing product reliability, robustness, and quality.
2 Machine Tool Dynamics: The key point of this research area is to conduct the dynamics-based process optimization with the stability and surface location error constraints to obtain the optimal machining parameters to fulfill the aim of high performance machining.
2 Metamodeling: In this research area, response surface modeling (metamodeling) approaches are developed to alleviate the computational burden of optimization (or reliability based design optimization) of complex scientific and engineering simulations.
