赵方臣,博士,中国科学院南京地质古生物研究所研究员,博士生导师;国家古生物化石专家库专家成员,中国科学院青年创新促进会会员,江苏省“333人才工程”中青年学术技术带头人,《古生物学报》编委,澄江古生物研究站站长。主要从事早期动物起源和寒武纪大爆发时期的古生态学、古生物学、地层学及其环境背景的研究。工作重点集中在中国寒武纪特异埋藏化石库(如中国澄江生物群、关山生物群等)的古生态学、埋藏学和系统古生物学研究。

研究领域:
动物起源与寒武纪大爆发, 寒武纪古生态学, 动物感官化石证据及保存特征, 特异保存化石埋藏机制, 重要动物门类化石系统古生物学研究。
