Biography Biography
Prof Tao received the PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering at Yale University in 2006. Before joining Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, she worked at Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited (NAMI) from 2012-2016 and Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) from 2006 to 2012, respectively, mainly focusing on advanced surface treatment on lightweight alloys and advanced metal forming technologies. Over the past ten years, she has provided market-driven R&D services to multiple industries through both governmental and industrial funded projects.
