Biography Biography
Qiong Luo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Her research interests are in database systems, parallel and distributed systems, and high-performance computing. Current focus is on data management on modern hardware, GPU acceleration for data analytics, and database support for e-science. Prior interests include web data management, XML query processing, pervasive computing, and sensor networks. Qiong received her PhD in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002, her MS and BS in Computer Sciences from Beijing (Peking) University, China in 1997 and 1992 respectively.
