He obtained his PhD degree in 2013 from the Applied Optics group, National University of Ireland, NUIG Galway for his work on the visual effects of higher-order aberrations in the human eye, using the adaptive optics technique. He later joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering, College of Engineering, Peking University to work on the imaging of small animal eyes. Based on visual psychophysics, modeling, and optical instrumentation, Dr de LESTRANGE-ANGINIEUR’s current research interest focuses on the relation between retinal blurs and neural processing.
