Tentative title of dissertation (PhD):
The roles of child, family and school in transition and adjustment to preschool in Hong Kong: a longitudinal study
Brief biography:
Miss WU Xiaoyuan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from East China Normal University and Nanjing Normal University respectively. Now she will continue the ECE research at the Education University of Hong Kong. She believes that effective early childhood education is able to bring children a sweet and fruitful childhood, which makes it a discipline worthy for Xiaoyuan to pursue lifelong learning.
Her research interest mainly lies in family influences and parental involvement, social behavior and adjustment, and psychological development of children aged 2-4 in the unique transition period from home or nursery to preschool education. Apart from academic life, she loves music, traveling, and photography.
