DrYan Zi
Associate Professor
Dr. Zi YAN is Associate Professor at the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, the Education University of Hong Kong. He serves as the Co-Director of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) and Associate Director of the Assessment Research Centre (ARC). He is also the Deputy Chair of the Pacific Rim Objective Measurement Society (PROMS). Dr. Yan obtained his PhD from James Cook University, Australia. His main publications and research interest focus on two related areas, i.e., educational assessment and measurement (in particular the application of the Rasch model in educational and psychological research). He is the Chief Investigator of several competitive external grants including fourGeneral Research Fund projects supported by the University Grants Committee (Hong Kong).
