Experimental Condensed Matter and Material Science Group:Experimental Condensed MatterExperimental Solid State PhysicsThe emphasis of this research lab is on characterizations and applications of low dimensional materials, particularly emerging low dimensional semiconductors. Recently we focus on optical properties of atomic 2 dimensional (2D) crystals, particularly atomic layers of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD). We explore the interplay of electron’s spin, valley degrees of freedom and electron-electron interactions with semiconductor optics techniques.Research Interest
