Research Interests

Dr. Sam K.H. LAM received his bachelor degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 1994. He worked in the Building Services industry after graduation and then returned to the Alma Mater for joining the HKU Photovoltaic research team in 1998. He participated in many pioneer works on promoting the application of Photovoltaic systems in Hong Kong. He was one of the founding members and subsequently elected the Chairman (2008-2009) of the Hong Kong Photovoltaic Consortium. He was also a member of the task group led by EMSD for drafting the Technical Guidelines on Grid Connection of Renewable Energy Power Systems. In 2007, he received his Ph D in Architecture from The University of Hong Kong and then started working in the Photovoltaic industry. In May 2014, he was appointed as Lecturer at the University of Hong Kong.
