Research Interests

Power system stability analysis, Complex dynamical networks, Distributed control, Event-triggered control, Switched systems.
Dr. Tao Liu received his B.E. degree from Northeastern University, China, in 2003 and his Ph.D. degree from the Australian National University (ANU), Australia, in 2011. From 2012 to 2015, he had worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow in ANU, University of Groningen, and University of Hong Kong (HKU), respectively. He also held a visiting scholar position in the Centre for Future Energy Networks, University of Sydney in 2012. He became a Research Assistant Professor in 2015 in HKU and was promoted to an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2019.
