Li Ka Shing Prizes 2016-17
The Li Ka Shing Prizes were established in 1991, supported by a generous donation from Dr. Li Ka Shing. The Prizes are highly competitive and awarded to MPhil and PhD graduates who have produced the best theses.
Previously, the prizes were awarded every two years to two MPhil and two PhD graduates. The number of prizes has increased to two MPhil and four PhD graduates every year starting from the year 2005-06, i.e. one MPhil and two PhD graduates in each Faculty Group*.
* Two Faculty Groups:
Group A comprises the Faculties of Architecture, Arts, Business and Economics, Education, Law and Social Sciences
Group B comprises the Faculties of Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine and Science
