Mr. LAW Sau-Wai, SamuelSenior Lecturer
Before joining Shue Yan University in January 2021, Mr. Law had over 14 years of banking experience in Hong Kong, taking up roles in credit risk management, private banking and strategic planning. Mr. Law is now a trainer, a course reviewer, and a panel member of Subject Review Panel at the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers.He has experienced in teaching Economics, Finance, Money and Banking, Risk Management, Compliance, Ethics and Law related subjects.
Currently, he is a PhD candidate (Part time) at the Faculty of Law at HKU. His thesis topic is “Suitability of arbitration in resolving private banking disputes from a client's perspective”, with a research focus on arbitration and dispute resolution, contract law, banking law and regulation andbank-client relationship.He is an Accredited General Mediator of Hong Kong Mediation and Accreditation Limited and a panel member of the tribunal secretary at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center.
His managerial experience in banking and academic exposure in legal studies have facilitated him to put theories into practice in his teaching and research.
