Marco Ho is a university educator who specializes in undergraduate engineering education. His diverse background in different engineering disciplines inspires him to value students' uniqueness and to connect his pedagogies with latest technology. His passionate teaching, pedagogic approaches and innovative techniques aim at training the students both professionally and holistically. Inside the classroom, he empathetically considers learners' needs, utilizes animation and personifications, and encourages in-depth interaction and peer assessments. Outside of the classroom, he meets with and provides counselling to students with academic problems, oversees foreign exchange and physical education policies and activities in the college, and refines and advises on departmental and faculty curricula.

His enthusiasm and passion in teaching is well appreciated by his colleagues and students. He has received awards including the University Education Award 2021, Departmental Best Teaching Awards (Top) in 2021, Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award 2020, Dean's Exemplary Teaching Award 2020, Best Teaching Award in the Master of Science in Information Engineering Program in 2020, and four Departmental Best Teacher Awards (Runner-up) from 2016 to 2020.

Dr Ho is always eager to share his teaching practices and philosophy with fellow educators, and is actively contributing in the professional communities. He has more than 30 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He is a Fellow of Advance HE (formerly Higher Education Academy, HEA), a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). He has been serving as a technical reviewer for over 20 journals and a member in technical program committees and organizing committees in many international conferences. He is currently serving as secretary of IEEE Hong Kong Section Education Chapter.
