BiographyWith over 35 years of solid experience in Marketing and Business Development, Mr. Stephen Young spent his early career life in retail marketing with Jardine Matheson Group. He made a history as the youngest executive to be promoted to Corporate General Management at the age of 29. Mr. Young later led the business development of Philips Consumer Electronics in China. With his business knowledge and success in leading business into China market, he joined the InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) in 1998 as the Regional VP China and was later promoted to Chief Operating Officer for the Greater China Region in charge of Operations for all hotel brands under the umbrella of IHG in the Greater China Region. Mr. Young held his last position as the Senior VP International Development (Asia Pacific) of Wyndham Hotel Group before joining the School of Hotel and Tourism Management as an Adjunct Associate Professor.
