摘要Errors involving the misuse of time deixis are usually observed in the Cantonese L2 classroom. In this paper, this type of error was identified from a Cantonese L2 learner corpus and was subjected to error analysis. It is observed that such error was made since students neglected the features of distance and sequence of time deixis, and/or they failed to decide whether a time deixis can be used or not. This study aims at providing some insights to the fields of language pedagogy and ontological research.
