关瑞文教授的研究领域集中在实践神学，主要包括实践神学的文化及社会政治向度（亚洲神学运动的后殖民反思，灵恩运动的仪式研究）；教会职事的实践神学（基督教辅导学，现代语境下的神学教育，堂会研究）。
