姜新生，博士，副教授，硕士研究生导师，湖南常德澧县人。大学毕业后在湖南文理学院从事学生管理工作，任学校团委副书记。博士毕业后，在湖南师范大学教育科学学院从事教学工作，先后给本科生讲授《学习理论》、《教育学原理》、《课程与教学论》、《素质教育概论》、《教育社会学》、《湖湘文化与湖南教育现代化》等课程。
由北京师范大学出版社出版了学术专著（《个别化教学策略》）一部，在《教师教育研究》、《中国教育学刊》、《全球教育展望》、《学前教育研究》等核心期刊上发表学术论文近30篇。主持湖南省哲学社会科学基金项目研究课题2项、湖南省教育科学规划课题研究1项，学校课题研究1项，参与国家及省部级以上课题研究多项。现主要从事学生学习习惯的养成、学生不良学习习惯的纠正等方面的研究。
