主要从事AM真菌分子多样性分析以及AM真菌提高植物抗旱机理研究工作，已熟练掌握AM真菌扩繁、接种，植物干旱胁迫条件下各种生理效应的检测，以及AM真菌抗性基因组文库的构建方法，运用生物信息学手段进行基因组学、比较基因组学研究。
