简单介绍The world is coming into the time what is known as the Service Era. Various business services are gradually being separated from manufacturing industries. In this paper, Business service concepts, features and classifications are firstly introduced, and the evolution trends of business service are also briefly summarized. The state-of-the-art of research and development work on business service is overviewed, in three different domains, i.e., the service economy, service systems and service-oriented computing. In particular, main research topics in a new discipline named Service Science, Management and Engineering are mentioned. Business service impacts on manufacturing and new challenges in business transformation from manufacturing to service are discussed. Finally, three case studies on business services are given.

简单介绍In this paper, we present a new definition for outlier: cluster-based local outlier, which is meaningful and provides importance to the local data behavior. A measure for identifying the physical significance of an outlier is designed, which is called cluster-based local outlier factor (CBLOF). We also propose the FindCBLOF algorithm for discovering outliers. The experimental results show that our approach outperformed the existing methods on identifying meaningful and interesting outliers.

简单介绍The web has undergone a tremendous shift from information repository to the provisioning capacity of services. As an effective means of constructing coarse-grained solutions by dynamically aggregating a set of services to satisfy complex requirements, traditional service composition suffers from dramatic decrease on the efficiency of determining the optimal solution when large scale services are available in the Internet based service market. Most current approaches look for the optimal composition solution by real-time computation, and the composition efficiency greatly depends on the adopted algorithms. To eliminate such deficiency, this paper proposes a semi-empirical composition approach which incorporates the extraction of empirical evidence from historical experiences to provide guidance to solution space reduction to real-time service selection. Service communities and historical requirements are further organized into clusters based on similarity measurement, and then the probabilistic correspondences between the two types of clusters are identified by statistical analysis. For each new request, its hosting requirement cluster would be identified and corresponding service clusters would be determined by leveraging Bayesian inference. Concrete services would be selected from the reduced solution space to constitute the final composition. Timing strategies for re-clustering and consideration to special cases in clustering ensures continual adaption of the approach to changing environment. Instead of relying solely on pure real-time computation, the approach distinguishes from traditional methods by combining the two perspectives together.

In this paper, based on the analysis of the AVE organization, the methodology for AVE including enterprise architecture, reference model, enterprise modeling methods and toolkit, guideline for system implementation is proposed. This paper also presents a Virtual Organization Integrated Support Environment (VOISE), which provides the computer-aided support for rapidly building an optimal AVE.

简单介绍The Intelligent Binary Schema Matching System (IBSMS) is an intelligent system, which is characterized with adequate knowledge about various data models. In this way, its basic components; translators and integrators acquire enough intelligence to handle the correspondence between constructs from different models. In addition, the system has a Binary-Matcher, which is a schema manipulation operation that takes two schemas as input and returns a mapping that identifies corresponding elements in them. However, in order to establish equivalencies, it derives correspondences among attributes of objects belonging to involved schemas. Meanwhile, the returned mappings can be exploited in a large variety of applications.

简单介绍This paper proposes TW-$(k)$-means, an automated two-level variable weighting clustering algorithm for multiview data, which can simultaneously compute weights for views and individual variables. In this algorithm, a view weight is assigned to each view to identify the compactness of the view and a variable weight is also assigned to each variable in the view to identify the importance of the variable. Both view weights and variable weights are used in the distance function to determine the clusters of objects. In the new algorithm, two additional steps are added to the iterative $(k)$-means clustering process to automatically compute the view weights and the variable weights. We used two real-life data sets to investigate the properties of two types of weights in TW-$(k)$-means and investigated the difference between the weights of TW-$(k)$-means and the weights of the individual variable weighting method. The experiments have revealed the convergence property of the view weights in TW-$(k)$-means. We compared TW-$(k)$-means with five clustering algorithms on three real-life data sets and the results have shown that the TW-$(k)$-means algorithm significantly outperformed the other five clustering algorithms in four evaluation indices.

简单介绍This paper proposes a new method to weight subspaces in feature groups and individual features for clustering high-dimensional data. In this method, the features of high-dimensional data are divided into feature groups, based on their natural characteristics. Two types of weights are introduced to the clustering process to simultaneously identify the importance of feature groups and individual features in each cluster. A new optimization model is given to define the optimization process and a new clustering algorithm FG-k-means is proposed to optimize the optimization model. The new algorithm is an extension to k-means by adding two additional steps to automatically calculate the two types of subspace weights. A new data generation method is presented to generate high-dimensional data with clusters in subspaces of both feature groups and individual features. Experimental results on synthetic and real-life data have shown that the FG-k-means algorithm significantly outperformed four k-means type algorithms, i.e., k-means, W-k-means, LAC and EWKM in almost all experiments. The new algorithm is robust to noise and missing values which commonly exist in high-dimensional data.

简单介绍Virtual resources (VR) clustering represents a valuable advantage in terms of organisation, readability and efficiency for resource exploration. Service clusters often embed VR based on predetermined clustering methods e.g. hierarchical methods, partionning methods, fuzzy clustering, and density-based algorithms. Meanwhile, after several resource explorations and selections, the agent-based system, denoted cloud platform in cloud manufacturing (CMfg), is able to gather statistical data concerning service requirements along with the probabilities of service clusters and their related VR to be selected. Consequently, the structure and definition of service clusters can be re-considered according to the probability of a set of VR to be selected. This article proposes a clustering method based on selection probability and ABC (Artificial Bee Colony) algorithm optimised. The present research also focuses on the global definition and improvements of the CMfg clustering process and the restructuring trigger function. Finally, the relevance and efficiency of the restructuring service cluster method are demonstrated in the precision and performance evaluation section.
