1982年7月在哈尔滨工业大学获学士学位；1986年7月在哈尔滨工业大学获硕士学位；1989年10月获清华大学博士学位；1989年11月—现在先后在哈尔滨工业大学任博士后，副教授，教授和博导。1991年5月-1991年9月和1992年1月-1994年1月在日本轻金属研究所进行合作研究。

现兼任《CHINA FOUNDRY》杂志编委会副主任,《TRANSACTIONS OF NONFERROUS METAL SOCEITY OF CHINA 》编委，《中国有色金属学报》编委，《特种铸造及有色合金》杂志编委会主任，《铸造》杂志编委会副主任，《铸造工程·造型材料》编委，《Materials Research Bulletin》等20余种杂志审稿人，中国铸造学会副理事长，中国稀土学会铸造合金分会理事，中国材料研究学会金属间化合物与非晶合金分会理事，中国铸造学会特种铸造及有色合金专业委员会主任，中国铸造学会学术工作委员会副主任，中国铸造学会国际交流工作委员会委员，哈尔滨市铸造学会副理事长等。
