王贤敏，博士、教授、博士生导师，入选“湖北产业教授”和武汉市“3551 光谷人才计划”，曾获“王之卓创新人才奖”和“宝钢教育奖”。在“IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems”，“IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics”，“Earth and Planetary Science Letters”，“Journal of Geophysical Research”，“Landslides”，“Science China”等国内外学术期刊和国际会议上发表学术论文70余篇，在科学出版社出版学术专著1部，并被编入中国博士后科学基金会《博士后文库》；作为第一完成人登记软件著作权5项；先后主持和参与20项国家重点研发计划、自然科学基金、863、973等国家项目和省部级项目；担任《地质科技通报》编委，先后受邀于“IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics”、“IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems”、“IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems”、“IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing”等多个期刊的审稿员。
长期致力于遥感数据处理与应用、遥感地质、人工智能与机器学习、地质灾害监测与预警、月球遥感与月球地质等方向的研究。
