5.近年来主要学术贡献
(1)揭示腾格里地区第四纪沉积物源区变化响应了全球变冷背景下青藏高原的阶段性隆升,但并未在黄土高原形成演化过程中扮演重要角色。该研究从沉积环境角度为深入理解和精确评价腾格里地区第四纪期间对黄土高原粉尘的贡献的定量评估提供了直接地质证据,首次揭开了隐藏于青藏高原东北缘现代沙漠覆盖区整个第四纪时段的高原隆升信息,为深入理解青藏高原隆升及亚洲内陆干旱化提供了重要地区的直接地质证据。
(2)通过系统的年代学研究,提出末次冰期间冰段吉兰泰地区为湖泊-沙漠共存的环境状态、无气候环境异常的认识;通过多种测年方法的综合研究,揭示前人报道的腾格里“晚第四纪大湖期”的湖岸线形成于早更新世晚期—中更新世早期,提出晚更新世腾格里地区很可能经历了强烈的侵蚀作用。
(3)提出受控于末次冰消期以来亚洲夏季风演化及人类活动的影响,阿拉善高原及周边大面积地区沙漠景观是近2千年(特别是最近200年)以来高强度人类活动诱发导致的观点。这一突破性认识为广受关注的我国中部地区荒漠成因研究提供了从空间变化角度研究的新视角。
(4)在吉兰泰地区,探索性地运用大量不同沉积相样品建立了石英矿物的光释光信号标准增长曲线,并提出选用接近2D0的额外再生剂量校正以减小不同样品/测片的光释光信号强度在 Re-SGC曲线大剂量区间离散度的做法。该研究是在当前对能否建立通用的标准增长尚不确定的背景下,首次在吉兰泰地区运用大量不同沉积相样品做出的,为在我国西部更广泛区域通过石英矿物快速准确测量~6万年(~200 Gy)以来沉积物的年代提供了重要依据和范例。
