职称：教授，博士生导师。
职务：中山大学党委常委、常务副校长

主要经历:
1982年毕业于湖南大学化工系，获学士学位。
1982年—1986年就职于机械工业部武汉材料保护研究所。
1986年—1992年就读于北京科技大学表面科学与腐蚀工程系，先后获硕士、博士学位。
1992年—2017年就职于北京科技大学，先后任讲师、副教授、教授，。
?1996年—2000年先后担任北京科技大学表面科学与腐蚀工程系副主任、腐蚀与防护中心副主任、主任，担任中国腐蚀与防护学会常务理事、秘书长。
2000年6月担任北京科技大学科技处处长，2007年7月担任北京科技大学校长助理，2008年9月担任北京科技大学党委常委、副校长。
2017年7月起担任中山大学党委常委、常务副校长。
