Introduction:

Mr. Yongzhang Zhou, Professor of School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Director of the Research Center for Earth Environment & Resources of Sun Yat-sent University. He got his B.Sc.degree from Sun Yat-sent University University (1982), M. Sc. from The Chinese Academy of Sciences (1987), Ph. D. from Québec Université, Canada (1992),Guest Professor of Stanford University (1996).

He is the prize winner of several national societies for his scientific contributions, the winner of the Excellent Teacher of National Education Ministry of China and the Felix Chayes Prize of the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (2015), also the author of more than 300 scientific papers and monographs. Responsible for several key research or consultation projects at national or provincial level.

Research interests: (1) Big data mining, machine learning and mathematical geoscience; (2) Ore deposit-related geochemistry, focusing on metallogenesis and geological settings of the Qinzhou Bay – Hangzhou Bay Joint Orogenic Belt, a giant suture seperating the Yangzi and the Cathaysian blocks, as well as a recently recognized giant metallogenetic belt, South China; (3) Environmental geochemistry, focusing on regional input-output flux, eco-geochemical effect, and eco-geochemically early warning forecast of soil heavy metals in the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone, South China; (4) Economic and sustainable development study related to earth environment and resources.

周永章,中山大学地球环境与地球资源研究中心主任,广东省地质过程与矿产资源探查重点实验室主任,中山大学地球科学与工程学院教授、博士生导师。
?
1963年生。1982年,中山大学学士。1987年,中国科学院地球化学研究所硕士。1992年,加拿大Quebec大学博士。1993年,晋升正高级职称。1995年,中国科学院广州地球化学研究所矿床研究室副主任。1996年,美国Stanford大学客座教授。2004年,香港大学地球科学系高级访问****。

1999年,中山大学地球科学与工程学院(原地球科学系)教授、博士生导师,历任中山大学科技处副处长、地球科学系系主任。2003年,创办中山大学地球环境与地球资源研究中心。2009年,负责筹建广东省地质过程与矿产资源探查重点实验室。2016年,创建中国矿物岩石地球化学学会大数据与数学地球科学专业委员会。

研究领域/指导博士、硕士研究生方向:矿床地球化学,环境地球化学,大数据、机器学习算法应用,智能找矿,大数据驱动资源环境预测预警,自然资源与环境经济学、可持续发展。

主授课程:《地球科学大数据挖掘与机器(深度)学习》、《数学地球科学》、《理论地球化学》、《高等地球化学》、《环境地球化学》、《矿床地球化学》、《广东地质》、《地质数学研究案列分析》、《地球环境与地球资源》、《自然资源与环境经济学》、《区域可持续发展》等本科生和硕、博士研究生课程,出版《地球科学大数据挖掘与机器学习》、《数学地球科学》等教材。

承担科研项目:承担国家重点研发计划课题、中国科学院重点项目、国家自然科学基金、全国高等学校博士点基金、教育部优秀青年教师基金、国家水利部专项、自然资源部中国地质调查局专项、教育部哲学社会科学研究重大课题攻关项目、广东省科技攻关、广东省重大决策咨询研究项目、广东省哲学社会科学规划项目等80多项课题研究。

出版专(合)著8部,主编学术文集4部,在国内外重要学术刊物上发表论文300多篇。多次参与中国科学院学部和国家自然科学基金委战略咨询项目及中国科学院国家科学思想库决策咨询报告的撰写。

获奖:中国地质学会银锤奖(1993),中国矿物岩石地球化学学会侯德封奖(1994),广东省科技进步奖一、二等奖(2005;2009;2014),国际数学地球科学协会Felix Chayes Prize(2015)。先后入选广东高校“千百十”人才工程、国家教育部优秀青年教师计划,中山大学卓越人才奖励计划奖,中山大学优秀科研团队。?
