1964 年7 月生于江西南昌，祖籍江西兴国，汉族，管理学博士。四川省科技奖励评审专家（2017年），江西省科技奖励评审专家（2017年），教育部科技成果奖励评审专家（2016年和2008年），同望科技股份有限公司（430653）董事（2014年），广东省电子政务总体规划专家（2013年），广州市越秀区总商会第一届理事会专业委员会学术组特邀委员（2013年），广东省烟草专卖局（公司）科技进步奖专家（2016-2014），华南理工大学计算机学院硕士生导师（2001年－2003年），华南理工大学工商管理学院教授（2009年），工程硕士项目管理领域主管（2010年－2013年）。2006年曾任教育部学位与研究生教育发展中心学科评估专家和亚太资讯通讯科技大奖（APICTA2006）的评审团评委。2007年被推选为中国软件过程改进网（CSPIN）专家委员会主任委员（首批），广东省软件过程改进网（GDSPIN）高级专家，美国计算机学会会员，中国计算机学会高级会员，《中国计算机学会通讯》特约刊评员。
1981-1985年在复旦大学计算机科学系计算机系统结构专业学习，获理学学士；1985-1987年在湖南大学计算机系任助教；1987-1990 年在湖南大学计算机科学系攻读计算机应用硕士，研究方向办公自动化，获工学硕士；1990起在华南理工大学计算机系软件教研室任助教、讲师、副教授；1999-2003年在华南理工大学工商管理学院攻读在职博士研究生，2003年6月20日通过博士论文答辩，题目是《软件过程改进的复杂性工作程序研究》，2003年10月加盟华南理工大学工商管理学院。已在国内外发表论文100多篇，其中SCI检索一篇，EI检索和ISTP检索（包括与他人合作）论文各10多篇，专著、教材和译著各一本。1998年提议《新世纪对我国计算机教育的挑战》获九三学社广东省委参政议政二等奖。2001年7月在香港中文大学获首届“两岸三地博士工作坊博士论文中期交流学术会议”决策与经济组最佳论文计划书大奖。中国大陆高校第一批（1996年）获得IBM公司认证专家证书的教师，1998年参加过IBM 公司高级专家执教的“项目管理教师”研讨班。主持过国家自然科学基金（软件质量管理的Warfield复杂性工作程序研究）和广东省中小企业研究中心项目（中小企业社会化服务体系的信息咨询服务平台）。广东省教育厅基地重大项目（软件知识密集型服务业与软件产业集群互动研究----以广东国家软件园为例）各一项。兴趣在互联网创新创业和大数据应用、电子政务和电子商务、软件商务和软件过程，项目管理和知识管理。对复杂性科学中的Warfield学派、IBM公司的服务科学以及MIT的TIES小组研究有较深的理解和研究，研究成果被Warfield教授和中国科协英文论文集所引用，并发表在Enterprise Information Systems （EIS）, International Journal of Knowledge and Systems Science （IJKSS），International Journal of Networking and Virtual Organisations（IJVNO），Journal of Computer, Journal of Software Engineering and Applications（JSEA）,iBusiness（iB），Technology and Investment（TI），Open Journal of Business and Management（OJBM）等国际期刊。
