海洋生物活性物质及其化学生态学、海洋微生物多样性的研究。

研究工作
担任国家重点研发计划项目“南海典型海岛生态建设与生态物联网监测技术研究与示范”首席科学家，聚焦“南海生态安全及其可持续发展”等核心科技问题，牵头负责南海生态物联网建设示范工程。围绕“热带海洋微生物多样性的时空分布特征及其功能”关键生态工程科技问题，开展微生物多样性的观测、认知和利用研究，发展热带海洋生态工程理论，发明微生物促生态修复等关键技术，促进热带海洋生态保护和生物资源利用的工程化，积极推进我国海洋战略性新兴产业发展与海洋生态建设。
