多氯联苯为一大类持久性污染物，至今仍在人类生存环境中广泛存在。本课题组的另一研究方向为多氯联苯类化合物的羟化代谢物与人类磺基转移酶作为底物或抑制物相互作用的结构-效应关系，以建立预测多种代谢物与酶相互作用的模型，从而更深入认识多氯联苯可能对人体正常物质代谢的影响。
这一方向的研究在国内处于开创和领先地位。
