李传东，教授，博士生导师，IEEE高级会员，教育部新世纪优秀人才，重庆市级人才，享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家。1992年7月毕业于四川大学数学系数理统计专业，获理学学士学位。 2001年7月获重庆大学数理学院运筹学与控制论专业理学硕士学位。2005年6月获重庆大学计算机学院计算机软件与理论专业博士学位。先后在香港城市大学、Texas A&M University at Qatar做博士后研究，现任电子信息工程学院党委副书记、院长。主要研究方向包括计算智能、忆阻系统理论与应用、混沌理论与应用、脉冲控制理论与应用、混杂系统、时滞系统的迭代学习控制等。发表SCI检索论文120余篇，他人引用3000多次，H-index为27。先后主持国家级项目3项，省部级项目多项，获重庆市自然科学二等奖2项。担任SCI检索期刊Cognitive Computation 的副编辑，多个国际期刊的编委，并在国际会议上担任程序委员会主席、出版主席、专题会议主席、程序委员会委员20余次。组织SCI期刊专辑4次，在科学出版社出版专著1部，Springer出版社编辑出版Lecture Notes on Computer Science 5 卷（LNCS 7663卷-7667卷）。
主要承担概率论与数理统计、信号与系统、人工智能、人工神经网络等课程的教学任务。
