Steven White(白思迪)博士是清华经管学院创新创业与战略系的副教授,从事战略,国际化,创新及创业等领域的研究和教学,他的研究关注组织间以及组织和环境的关系,尤其注重针对中国转型时期的情境研究。
他当前主要的研究项目包括创业在新兴产业生态系统中的作用、中国VC产业演化、中美人工智能(AI)产业生态系统的比较等。他的研究成果广泛发表在多种国际重要学术期刊,包括《Academy of Management Journal》、《Strategic Management Journal》、《Research Policy》、《Journal of Management Studies》、《Organization Studies》、《Asia Pacific Journal of Management》、《Technovation》和《R&D Management》等。同时,他发表过25篇案例,并和Kwok Leung教授共同主编了《The Handbook of Asian Management》。2014年至2018年期间,他每年都入选了爱思唯尔(Elsevier)中国高被引“商业、管理和会计”榜单。他主导或作为核心研究者参与过多个重要研究课题,包括 “生态视角下基于互补性技术创新的技术竞争与新兴产业发展”(2020-2023中国国家自然科学基金面上项目)、“新兴低碳产业:美国和中国的新兴低碳产业的地区和国家比较研究”(清华大学自主科研项目)、以及惠普催化剂项目(Hewlett-Packard's Catalyst Program)资助的面向高校的旨在推进科学创业的国际论坛等。他也是美国管理学会、战略管理学会、国际工商研究学会、中国管理研究国际学会、亚洲管理学会等学术协会的会员。此外,作为核心创始成员之一,他曾任清华x-lab副主任和学术副主任,并担任中国,印度和新加坡等国多家创业企业的导师。
白思迪为MBA、EMBA和管理学硕士学生讲授国际化增长战略、战略分析和展示技巧工作坊、管理思维、战略管理、兼并和收购战略问题、跨文化管理等方向的课程,目前他正在开发《工作中的创新》课程,着重探讨设计思维以及其他创造性解决问题的方法和技能。
加入清华之前,白思迪先后在欧洲工商管理学院(INSEAD)、中欧国际商学院以及香港中文大学任教。他分别在麻省理工学院斯隆管理学院、日本国际大学和杜克大学获得博士、硕士和学士学位,他也曾在日本日本住友商事株式会社工作三年。
