研究兴趣包括饮用水安全、管网输配过程水质控制、水处理工艺模拟与优化、水处理功能材料、高级氧化技术等。先后承担国家自然科学基金项目、国家863计划课题、国家重大科技专项和国家重点研发计划研究任务等20余项。在给水管网腐蚀产物释放与控制方面的研究取得重要理论突破,建立的“多水源切换下的管网水质风险评价与调控技术体系”在多个城市应用并取得了良好的社会经济效益,获省部级科学技术奖2项,优秀学术论文奖3项。在Water Research, Environmental Science & Technology,《中国给水排水》和《给水排水》等国内外期刊发表学术论文100余篇,参编专著2部,申请专利10项。
