博士生导师,1999年获以色列希伯莱大学-哈达萨医学院生物化学博士学位。1999年7月在美国Linus Pauling Institute进行博士后研究,2002年7月升为高级研究助教授。现任生态环境研究中心创新研究员。
长期从事自由基与过渡金属离子化学和毒理学、复合环境污染物协同毒性机理的研究,取得了以下原创性成果:一、发现一类不同于经典Fenton反应的新型·OH产生机制:卤代醌与H2O2反应可产生·OH,此反应不依赖金属离子的存在。该机理能部分解释多卤酚等环境污染物的致癌性。这一新发现已被写入《Free Radicals in Biology and Medicine》教科书中。二、发现一种新型毒性作用机制:基于亲脂加合物的形成而产生的协同毒性。此类协同作用可能是普遍存在于各种环境污染物之间的一种共同毒性作用机制。曾获得美国NIH、联合国教科文组织的资助和奖励。已在《美国科学院院刊》等国际著名学术期刊上发表多篇论文。曾应邀在著名的“Gordon 研究会议”上作了50分钟大会报告。
