主要从事非线性模型与非线性理论的研究，包括解析解，可积性，数值计算与模拟等方面，侧重信息与通信领域光通信与光孤子，交通运输领域交通流，金融与经济领域畸形波以及数学物理领域黎曼-希尔伯特问题等。
