简 历: 徐星,男,1969年7月出生,汉族,新疆伊犁人,理学博士,研究员,民盟中科院副主委,英国《皇家学会学报-生物辑》和《中国地质学报英文版》编委,1995年7月参加工作。主要从事中生代爬行动物化石及地层学研究。多年来在中、蒙等国数十个中生代化石点进行过野外勘查和发掘工作, 组织的对西部戈壁地区连续8年的野外考察使得新疆准噶尔盆地五彩湾地区成为世界上最重要的中晚侏罗世过渡时期的陆相化石点;在辽宁西部的野外工作使许多极其重要的脊椎动物化石得到发现。

研究方向: 研究工作涉及分类学、系统学、形态功能学、古动物地理学和骨组织学等诸多领域。在分类学方面,已发现和命名恐龙新属种达30余种,包括世界上已知最早的暴龙类、镰刀龙类、窃蛋类、伤齿龙类、驰龙类以及角龙类的化石,世界上第一个保存睡眠信息的恐龙标本,世界上最小的甲龙标本,世界上最小的成年非鸟兽脚类恐龙标本,世界上最早的虚骨龙类化石和世界上最早的保存羽毛的非鸟恐龙化石。在暴龙类、镰刀龙类、窃蛋类、伤齿龙类、驰龙类以及角龙类等许多类群的形态学、分类学、发育学、系统学以及形态功能学等方面的工作分别代表这些研究方向近年来最重要的成果之一。
