1964年7月生于山西夏县,日本国立冈山大学大气物理专业博士学位,荷兰Wageningen大学环境科学专业博士学位。中国科学院青藏高原研究所研究员、博士生导师、副所长、中科院珠穆朗玛大气与环境综合观测研究站站长。主要从事大气边界层观测及卫星遥感应用研究。曾负责多项国家重大科学研究计划项目、国家自然科学基金重点和面上项目、重大国际合作项目以及中科院等部委委托项目,同时是重大国际合作研究计划“全球能量水循环亚洲季风青藏高原试验研究”(GAME-Tibet)和 “全球协调加强计划之亚澳季风青藏高原试验研究” (CAMP-Tibet)的中方总协调人之一。在执行这些项目时,以马耀明研究员为首的研究集体在青藏高原建立了近10个多圈层地气相互作用综合观测研究站,并取得了大量的观测资料。已在国内外重要期刊上发表科研论文100余篇,其中第一作者40余篇,并以第一作者出版英文专著1部。获2006年度气象科学和技术****奖,2008年获国家****基金资助,2009年入选“新世纪百千****才工程国家级人选”。
