The difference of chemical environment between the confined space and conventional bulk solution generates many peculiar phenomena, such as enhanced reaction selectivity, increased activity, and improved stability. Based on the research work of our group in recent years, this paper briefly introduces confinement strategies of carbon-based functional materials in the confined chemistry field, including confined interface induction, confined chemical assembly and printing, and three-dimensional porous confined system.And applications in catalysis and energy storage are presented.
