研究领域2006年起成为大型强子对撞机上CMS实验国际合作组成员，参与探测器安装、测试，进行寻找Higgs和新物理的研究。为Higgs联合分析组核心成员，在Higgs粒子发现过程中发挥了重要作用：
1）参与H->ZZ->4l 末态物理分析，利用该末态研究Higgs粒子性质；
2）在2012年7月4日欧洲核子研究中心（CERN）宣布发现Higgs的前几天（2012年6月28日），代表联合分析组向CMS合作组做了以偏离标准模型本底五倍标准偏差的显著性发现Higgs的Approval报告。

2013年7月入选中科院百人计划，加入CMS中国高能所组。
2013年底被CMS国际合作组选为Higgs联合分析及性质测量组组长（2014-2015）。
