研究领域对流系统的动力学诊断分析， 积云对流模式在区域和全球气候模式中的耦合，云微物理过程参数化及其在气候模式中的应用，冰核核化的数值模拟，冰晶生长的数值模拟，云凝结核的核化和雨滴胚胎形成的微物理和动力过程的数值模拟实验，雷暴云的电荷分层和闪电传输通道的数值模拟。
