1985年本科毕业于长春地质学院应用地球物理专业获工学学士学位,1988年获同校同专业工学硕士学位,1992年在南京大学构造地质学专业博士研究生毕业获理学博士学位。1992-1994年为长春地质学院博士后,1994年11月起中国地质大学(北京)任副教授,2000年晋升教授,2001年批准为博士生导师。1993-1994、1998、2001年曾在西澳大利亚大学地质与地球物理系访问和合作研究;2006年7月-2007年6月美国耶鲁大学高级访问。

现学术兼职:JournaloftheGeologicalSociety学科编辑、中国科学(地球科学卷)编委、地层学杂志编委、中国地质学会古地磁专业委员会副主任委员、中国地质学会前寒武纪地质专业委员会委员、全国地层委员会第四届常务委员、磁性地层学分会副主任委员。曾兼职:北京大学兼职教授、中国地质大学(武汉)兼职教授、中国武警部队黄金地质研究所学术顾问、北京市地勘局专业技术委员会顾问。曾获国土资源科学技术一等奖(2003)、二等奖(2014);入选教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划(2004);享受国务院政府特殊津贴(2008)。

主要从事古地磁学、地史学、大地构造学基础研究和教学工作。在Geology、EarthandPlanetaryScienceLetters、Precambrianresearch等期刊发表SCI论文90余篇,论文总被引6500余次。


主要学术成就

在前寒武纪全球古大陆再造和新元古代重大地质事件研究方面取得重要学术成果:
(1)先后报道了华北中、新元古代多个时期高质量的古地磁极。提出了Nuna超大陆、Rodinia超大陆聚合-裂解过程中华北地块与劳伦大陆、波罗的、西伯利亚、澳大利亚、印度、东南极等主要大陆之间的连接模式。
(2)基于锆石U-PbSHRIMP年代学研究,在南沱冰期起止时间、南沱组沉积方式、长安冰期构造背景、Ediacaran纪碳同位素异常成因等重要科学问题的研究中提出了创新认识和提供了关键证据,成果受到国际同行的广泛引用。
(3)在华南报道了南沱组、陡山沱组、泥盆-石炭纪等多个岩石单元的古地磁结果,修订了华南地块古生代极移曲线。利用极移曲线拟合,约束了华南地块在早古生代与冈瓦纳大陆的连接关系和分裂的时代。在南沱组获得了新的可靠的古地磁成果,否定了南沱组形成于赤道附近的认识,提供了Marinoan冰期时代华南与澳大利亚西北部相连的新证据,为研究南华裂谷盆地性质提供了重要的构造古地理约束。
