Abstract:
 Nowadays there are large clinical datasets available for discovery research, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) data, valuable new sources for deriving real-word prediction models of disease risk and progression. They also bring analytical difficulties and challenges. There may be high dimensional risk factors as well as interactions. The sampling of subjects may be biased. Precise information oncovariates/clinical outcomes may not readily available. In this talk, I'll discuss analytical approaches for mining healthcare data on several aspects.
