沈慕仲教授2006年获得英国纽卡斯尔大学化工与材料学院理学博士学位，主要从事电化学工程及新能源领域的研究工作，研究成果包括：首次发现化学能转化为电能的普遍规律，各种功耗对燃料电池性能的相关作用及电池内阻测量和计算方法，发明新型燃料电池电极等；发表核心专业期刊论文和国际学术会议论文28篇。
