Giorgio Monti has graduated in Civil Engineering in 1986 at the University of Roma La Sapienza, then he has obtained a Master of Science at the University of California at Berkeley in 1993, and a PhD at the University of Roma La Sapienza in 1994 in Structural Engineering.

- modeling and analysis of reinforced concrete structures under seismic action,
- risk assessment at territorial scale of complex systems with big-data treatment,
- risk assessment of existing structures in reinforced concrete and masonry,
- reliability analysis of structures and infrastructures in seismic zones and code calibration,
- prefabrication in construction,
- strategies for seismic protection of buildings, including base isolation,
- strategies for preservation of cultural heritage,
- advanced solutions and techniques for structural strengthening.
Dr. Monti is looking for post-doctoral students to perform research on any of the following subjects:
- non-linear analysis of reinforced concrete structures,
- assessment of existing structures,
- shaking table testing,
- risk analysis and reliability.
Knowledge of a structural analysis program is required, with OpenSees preferred.
Knowledge of Matlab and Python is preferential.
Dr. Monti is possible to support the post students to Sapienza University of Rome, Italy for one or two years.
