六、基本情况

1、1981年-1985年在山西农业大学本科畜牧专业毕业，获得学士学位；1990年-1994年在山西农业大学大学攻读动物生产专业硕士，获得农学硕士学位；1995年-1998年在中国农业大学攻读动物繁殖专业博士，获得农学博士学位。从1998年11月到2003年7月先后在英国爱丁堡大学细胞、动物和群体生物学研究所(Institute of Cell, Animal and population Biology, University of Edinburgh, 现为Institute of Evolutionary Biology)和罗斯林研究所 (Roslin Institute) 做博士后研究，主要从事与动物生长和繁殖性能有关的数量性状基因的定位和候选基因的分子克隆等研究。从2003年8月至2010年12月，先后任职于英国爱丁堡大学医学院心血管研究所，炎症研究所及罗斯林研究所，从事功能基因组学的相关研究。先后主持和参加了由国家自然科学基金，英国Wellcome Trust, Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), Medical Research Council (MRC), British Heard Foundation (BHF)等基金会资助的多项科研项目。

2、2011年获得硕士导师招生资格，2011年获得博士导师招生资格。

3、主要研究内容：运用分子生物学、生物技术和生物信息学等学科的技术和研究手段，结合动物遗传学、动物育种学和动物繁殖学的理论和研究方法，研究动物生长、发育、繁殖和抗病性等性状的特性和调控机制。
