Jessica Thompson Performance Faculty: Viola
Violist Jessica Thompson is a passionate chamber musician who performsregularly throughout the United States and abroad as a member of theDaedalus Quartet.The quartet, Grand Prize winner of the 2001BanffInternational String Quartet Competition, is in residence at the Universityof Pennsylvania.The Daedalus Quartet has premiered works by composerssuch as Fred Lerdahl, Joan Tower, Richard Wernick, and Lawrence Dillon. In addition to performing with the Daedalus Quartet, Ms. Thompson hastoured withMusicians from Marlboro, appears regularly at thePortland(Maine) Chamber Music Festival, and performs often with theEast CoastChamber Orchestra.Ms. Thompson currently teaches at Princeton andColumbia Universities.
